Employee card for a worker from Ukraine
Employee card is one of the permits, thanks to which you can legally employ workers from Ukraine in your company.
For legal work in the territory of the Czech Republic for a period longer than 90 days, a citizen of Ukraine must submit an application for a ZMK. As a rule, an employee card for foreigners is issued for the period specified in the employment contract, or it is issued for a maximum of 2 years and you can extend it repeatedly.
The holder of the ZMK must work in the job position for which this permit was granted.
Job position to which the employment card for foreigners applies
No qualification or experience of the worker is required to obtain a ZMK. An employee card is issued for all types of employment.
Condition for granting ZMK
A foreigner must apply for a job vacancy, which is reported to the Labor Office in advance, for a period of 30 days. The future employee therefore applies for a ZMK for a specific vacant position, for which an employee card will subsequently be granted. They must also have proof of secured accommodation in the territory of the Czech Republic.
ZMK processing time
The decision on the result of the submitted application is issued within 60 days, in complicated legal cases it may take a maximum of 90 days.
